I heard the same in Los Angeles back then. They would send the young-looking cops in and all they wanted was to score some drugs. And, yes, it was an ABSOLUTE JOKE at the high schools, everyone knew. Maybe it was crew cut or them talking like Joe Friday, but whatever, they did do well.
