No I wont count on it.
Militaries and police forces go with who pays their saleries and retirement.
Um, the state and local governments pay the police. As for the military they will go with secessionists. Especially if it is the south and mid west leaving. Besides this is going to be big so we are talking million of conscripts and volunteers on both sides making the current standing army a non factor.
