Yeah the legislature might appoint a sleazebag but the proposed amendment gives the People of Utah an opportunity to recall him. The moral is you can’t know what you’re hiring until you see how they perform. And if they perform poorly, then you fire them.

So Utahans ‘hired’ this guy with their vote, but now they can’t get rid of him because there is no recall in the US Constitution.

So Romney stays in power and his money network makes sure his dem opponent won’t have a chance, so he will stay in power.

But if there was a provision for recall, then these stories of scuzzy politicians getting into office and staying in office would be a thing of the past.
