Entirely agree. I grew up there, went through the public school system, loved it and then the 70s hit. I left, came back in the mid 80s and was about to leave again when the idiot Dinkins was mayor...and then one man, Giuliani, changed it all.
So maybe a GOPer should run now, because NY is out of ideas and things cannot continue this way....and I think a lot of people, including hard-core Dems, know it. DeBlasio cant run again, and I never figured out how he got elected for a second term, since everybody hated him. But in a one-party town, all it takes is to be in that party.
So somebody should challenge this, just as Giuliani did.
