I have no idea what I would do with one of these - other than clean it (probably too much/too often) and occasionally take it to the range and shoot it embarrassingly average (at best). But I still want one.
These AR pistols are becoming a thing these days. I have a variety of AR type weapons, but for a truck gun, I’m really liking my 16” AR-9. It has all the tactical furniture the above gun does, but it’s a lighter smaller action gun in 9mm. What I think puts it above the 5.56 for a defense gun is that uses 33 round Glock magazines. And, that “longer than pistol length” barrel makes those 9mm rounds really zip along. I shoot 9x19 NATO spec 124 grain rounds out of it, and I bet those dudes are approaching 1500 fps muzzle velocity. Sighted in for 50 yards, it shoots within a couple inches of point-of-aim at 25 yards and 100 yards. And, I can hit a 12” steel plate with it at 200 yards every shot. I have a .308 rifle dueling tree with 3/8 thick 12” plates on it, and it’s the only pistol caliber weapon I have besides my .45 ACP that can swing those big plates over at 25 yards.
LOUD!!
Still has it’s appeal...
I would guess that with a standard 5.56 or .223 round there would be at least two or three feet flame coming out of that 9 inch barrel. That would be a bit distracting.
$2800, conservatively?
For, really, an AR with a 9 inch barrel?
Really now...
SMH
The very sight of this weapon would give liberals the vapors. I have often wondered if on liberal college campuses is there firearm porn? Little snowflakes salivating over hidden pictures of AR-15s or carefully hidden copies of Guns and Ammo magazine and maybe even very secretly going to gun ranges.
