Activist and Bernie Sanders supporter Shaun King has sparred with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, after claiming she reported that the DNC is angling to prevent the socialist senator from winning the Democratic nomination.
King tweeted out to his more than 1 million followers that Maddow had disclosed that senior officials within the Democratic Party were pressuring billionaire-turned-presidential-candidate Michael Bloomberg to drop out so that Biden would have an easier time against Bernie. He made the provocative accusations that the Democrats were in fact interfering with the primaries to stop Sanders.
The claim sent shockwaves through the social media platform, with the post garnering more than 8,000 retweets and some 25,000 likes in less than twelve hours.
It wasnt long before the MSNBC host caught wind of the claim which she promptly disputed. I didnt report any such thing, Maddow fired back.
King countered by posting a short clip of the network news host discussing the latest DNC gossip. Citing a scoop from NBCs national politics reporter Josh Lederman, Maddow states: Its striking to hear Letterman say that the Bloomberg campaign is experiencing intense pressure from multiple sources from inside of the Democratic Party that he needs to quit.
Why would they ask Bloomberg to quit? A lot of Democratic political consultants as raking in the dough and he isn’t siphoning enough votes away from Biden for it to matter. Let the gravy train keep on a rollin’!
I doubt shock waves. Everyone knows it.
Talcolm X.. LOL..
I love me a Rat fight
Funny, $100,000.00 of Russia facebook ads sunk Hillary.
Yet Bloombergs billion can not buy a delegate!
Maybe the Russians are that smart after all????????????
DNC is about its power, not consultant pay.
Bloomberg will be forced out as others to aid Biden.
Just like the others. Money isn’t their leverage, only humiliation.
Bloomberg is the biggest political bust in US history.
Will Donna Brazille tell him to go to hell also?
Martin Luther Cream
And the Dems have no power over Bloomberg. They can't offer to pay off his debts or give him some plum position. If he was worried about being humiliated he would have quit after his first debate. He will only stop when he feels like it and there isn't a thing they can do about it.
By unashamedly using his wealth to buy political power, he has made himself a player.
Meanwhile, the DNC is funding Warren’s SuperPAC so she stays in the race and denies Sanders a consolidation of the left wing.
Yes, this is a fight for control over the DNC between Sanders and the Clinton/Obama loyalists.
Sanders would sweep the DNC house clean.
The Clinton/Obama loyalists want to keep the gravy train rolling....which will continue to roll even if Biden loses in November.
The nastier the better!
Talcum X is still among the best mocking nicknames of all time.
Absolutely!
Credit the DNC, the race ain’t over as the California delegate count will show.
They need Pocahontas to finish the job
“And the Dems have no power over Bloomberg.”
Correct, humiliation and being a laughing stock however, does.
Can the DNC control Bloomberg?
My first reaction would be know, but they were so ruthless and efficient in controlling Buttman and Klobo that I am beginning to wonder.
Think Seth Rich type....make somebody “disappear” while the local cops and the mass media watch your back...
Anyone who has invested over a billion dollars in a political contest won’t quit. Bloomer wants whatever bang he can get for his buck. And to tell the truth, he is a far better alternative than senile Joe. Bloomer needs to get rid of the pickle has has up his ass.
“Bloomer needs to get rid of the pickle has has up his ass.
I thought Mayor Pete pulled out.
I thought Mayor Pete pulled out.>>>
Now that’s a good one. I look forward to Pete and Mrs, Pete appearing at a Bloomberg function with Mrs. Pete dressed in drag.
RT seems to like this narrative! Let me see, who is RT? Is it reuters? no no, it’s not reuters. Oh yes, it’s the Russian propaganda service! Great. Great.
