Don’t Catholics do this, too, to some extent?

I believe they share a cup. The moral of the story still stands.

In my area, the Diocese of Knoxville, receiving the Precious Blood from the chalice has been discontinued since six weeks ago ---Feb. 1 ---and will continue to be suspended indefinitely, presumably until the Corona crisis is over.

I think all,or most dioceses have done this, though its up to the individual bishop.

And no touching during the Exchange of Peace.

Hard to get the little kids at Mass to *not* shake hands!
