I am in Cary, North Carolina. Here is what I just saw.
Just came back from the Harris Teeter off of
270 Grande Heights Dr
Harrison Pointe Shopping Center
Cary, NC 27513
This store is normally well stocked, and you never have trouble finding anything. This morning it was about 65% full. Cleaning supplies, TP, meat, milk and bread were all very low or gone.
The body washes were low. There were lots of empty shelves.
I was listening to the the employee at the cash register. She said there were a lot of people coming into the store and buying anywhere from $600 to $800 worth of groceries. Harris Ts said they were trying to restock the shelves, but the demand was so hight they were having trouble keeping up.I could see the store was restocking the shelves, but wow I have never seen it so empty!
As long as President Trump can keep the supply chain moving, then we will be in good shape. This is evidence on why we should not be so dependent on China for everything. If this was the 1990s and going back, then this would not even be an issue. Thanks to the stupid politicians that sold us out. It is a modern version of the Indian Chiefs selling out their tribes for guns, booze and trinkets.

It’s not, its just always expected for the Federal Government to “do something” these days.
Grocery stores buy very little from China. No real problem restocking.
It’s a madhouse everywhere. Just a few months ago I was marveling at the bounty at supermarkets. But I had a vision that it could end. I’m sure this is temporary but we have to ask God for forgiveness and give thanks when times are good. Pray America. It would be a good idea for Trump to ask for a day of prayer.

It IS a federal responsibility to NOT get in the way of things moving.
Went at 0900 yesterday. Lot packed. No thanks.
Went at 0600 this morning. many more people there than usual for the time, but no craziness. Lines were short after the first rush cleared through. Extra checkers were on duty.
Found corned beef brisket — but no cabbage. 8-(

As an employee of FedEx I’d like to thank everybody for depleting store shelves.
Our busy season has started early this year as stores are running out of product. Yesterday was our busiest so far.
My bonus should be pretty good in a few months.
Local Publix was stocked normally of most food items. TP was low and they were rationing tissue to 2 boxes per customer. Otherwise business as usual. This is nothing but hype.

Yesterday, I stopped by the Wal-Mart in Geneva, AL. A few more shoppers than usual. All the alcohol and peroxide shelves were bare but nothing else unusual as far as I could tell.
A few minutes later stopped at a grocery store which was having a sale. Nothing unusual at all. Even had plenty of peroxide.
I haven’t personally witnessed it but two of my kids in the Dallas area say that it is a madhouse. Empty shelves, long lines, etc. We are traveling back from Spring Break and the few stores that we have been were fine. The Dollar General yesterday was out of toilet paper. I think the hoarders are more of the urban squalor types.
My wife had a Kroger coupon from months ago and stashed a boatload of tp and paper towel as a matter of frugality. Glad she did that.
Every piece of packaged food likely has a component from China.
I am NOT saying your grocery store shelves are going to empty...but where do you think frozen food bags are from? Or the styrofoam plates for your meat?
The world is interconnected in ways the average person cannot imagine. It’s not all falling apart. Not at all.
But to suggest that everything is going to be just fine is as dangerous as saying the world is ending.
The world is the world. Nothing written here is going to change what happens. Wash our hands, but a can of beans, and relax. Set expectations that are realistic. That prevents surprises and reactions.
