John Harrison (Alex Kendrick) is a high school basketball coach whose team is just about to win their state championship. In the last few seconds of the game, however, his son Ethan misses the shot that would have sealed the deal, and the team loses narrowly. If that isnt bad enough, it is announced that a major steel plant in the town (and thus its largest employer) is closing, and dispersing to other areas in the country. Because of this, many of the towns residents will have to relocate. This causes major, transformational changes for the school. The schools principal, Olivia Brooks (Priscilla Shirer) calls John in, and tells him that she is now down three coaches and two teachers, which means that John wont be a basketball coach in the new schoolyear. She proposes that he lead cross-country, which he has a real sour attitude about, especially since he has no interest in running, nor does he consider it a real sport. On top of all these things, he finds out his cross-country team consists of one girl, Hannah Scott (Aryn Wright-Thompson) and she has asthma.

we will look into that....any other suggestions would be welcome....adventure,thrillers, etc...I don’t like bloody movies unless its very very well done and makes some sense.
Sad that these post don’t say which streaming service they are on. I’d watch.
Pureflix
that offers hundreds of inspirational/ Christian/ old-timey movies and television shows
On Amazon Prime video, free for Prime members. On iTunes for $5.99 rental. VUDU rental for 99 cents. Also available on YouTube and Google Play.
Specifically you can currently find “Overcomer” available on the streaming services: Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, Youtube, Google Play, iTunes, Fandango Now, and the Microsoft (”Get it from Microsoft”) app as well.
Surprisingly enough, it’s not on PureFlix.
The Chosen is though and is awesome.
if you’re looking to rent it on physical media, they are available to rent (and buy for a very reasonable price) at Redbox kiosk machines both for DVD and blu-ray as well.
