Okay, so it looks like the isolation period is going to be extended to the end of April. It's going to be a long haul since I am already going a bit stir crazy. Only going out once per week for food (and one other pit stop last week to pick up our new Coronavirus car on a GM deal).
Fortunately some of this isolation is mitigated by watching lots of stuff on TV. However, the sense of wanderlust remains.
So my question to everybody is: What will you be doing once the isolation period ends? I am definitely thinking of a trip down the Florida Keys. A stop in Marathon Key to go swimming for a couple of hours and then on to Key West before returning.
If the cruise lines offer good deals to get people back, perhaps also a cruise to the Bahamas as well.
Not much will change for me. I was one of the best social-distancers evah before all this came down. Be nice to get back to a (hopefully) normal work life.
Go to Mackinac Island, and spend a day sightseeing
Go back to work until my TSP (Fed Gov 401K) recovers and then retire.
Get back to the weights, driving me batty not lifting for days now.
And it’s March, the worst month of all at 44 Degrees north.
I’ve been training for this time all my life:

Oh, and play golf... constantly.
AKA, Moe's haircut.
.
Keep driving like I am still...
Something happened to me that might be referenced in churches and/or other houses of worship around the country. I can't talk about it now because I am waiting until AFTER the isolation period for reasons I will reveal later. However, it was truly amazing and something which can be backed up with graphs and stats.
Not Hawaii, we are enjoying the lack of traffic.
Move. Literally to another state.
Might join ol PJ for wings and beer
Ill join you, but only if PJ makes some of that Mojo chicken. Have you seen that video? It looked awesome.
Going to have a sit down meal out, after I get my hair cut.
I have friends in Tampa.
Last time I flew out there my wife and I spent a lot of time on the beach at Sanibel.
Have they determined for certain that blood type is a factor?
I will be pleased to learn about it when you wish to share.
I want to be back with all my friends.
Yeah. I remember the Stir-Crazy movie.
Wilder and Pryor.
Basically the same thing I’ve been doing all along, and doing for the past 16+ years...practicing social distancing, and enjoying the rest of my life the same way.
Lets see... I live in Pennsylvania. Going to the state store since I’m probably going to be out of liquor by the time this is over. The gun range. Have to stay sharp. Back to the gym (been 3 weeks). Basically bouncing off the walls. Only thing keeping me sane is that I’m still at work as we build stuff — a lot of stuff that’s considered ‘critical’. But I work in sales, so I’m a house cat for the time being.
Chickens and guns, and ammo.
Got a range in the back yard, Montana mountain side location so I can shoot whenever I want. Was telling the spousal unit this morning that I’m ready to start firing some ammunition. I loaded up years ago and have been re-loading for 25 years so I’m well stocked with components for ... well ... lets just say that if it was published in some blue state rags they would call it an arsenal: but by Montana standards I’m a piker.
Have fun and pick up your brass. Guys like me use it more than once.
