The “official” guidelines are way too much and should be completely ignored. They are further extensions of the already overreaching, unwarranted and unconstitutional shutdown of private businesses and activity.
If the government wanted to close public schools, government agencies and congress, put public school teachers, bureaucrats and politicians out of work, they had every right to do so.
Stupid and unnecessary, but at least constitutional.
But they had no right to shut down private businesses.
And to be fair, the government didn’t shut us down - we shut ourselves down like a bunch of sheep. I’m amazed at how pathetic American citizens are, and how easily they let themselves be fear mongered into giving up their freedom.
Since when do we let government bureaucrats restrict our activities without even a vote or proper legislation? We just do what we are told and not even a peep?
Progressives in this country and adversaries abroad must be taking note at how easily we can be scared into give up our rights. And how brainlessly we pat ourselves on the back for being such obedient little social distancers.
We are totally screwed.

I'm gonna try one more time with you. The official guidelines were not nearly enough, right. You can disagree with the guidelines, but my video was about something that should have been said IN ADDITION. Since you flew off the handle and clearly didn't watch the video, you don't even know what I added!

Well, I hardly “flew off the handle”, but you are absolutely right that I decided not to watch the video - here’s why:
Saying the guidelines are “not nearly enough”, is the same as saying that you believe they would need to be much stronger.
I happen to believe the official guidelines are excessive. You believe they are insufficient. So, you see, I already knew from your comment that we completely disagree.
That’s why I didn’t need to watch the video in order to state my disagreement.
Ok, enumerated, my last appeal:
If you heard me a certain way, perhaps I need to rephrase it. Instead of me saying “the guidelines are not nearly enough,” I could have said something like: “Here’s what the official guidelines MISSED”....
That way I’m not saying I agree with all the guidelines. Does that work for you? (Not trying to be smart about this, just want you to check out the video because it has nothing to do with adding to the guidelines the govt. put out.

Yes!! Phrasing it as something wrong with the guidelines makes all the difference in the world! There are so many videos - I’m on over-load - my own wife, my friends - all showing me fifty videos a day - I can’t watch them all - but the way you phrased it now made me want to watch it, and I agree with it. We need to be outside, getting exercise, eating right.
I’ll go one step further though: the official guidelines are not only missing some things, they are 100% dead wrong about social distancing! True, as the video said, we need to be outside getting sunshine, fresh air and nutrition - but here’s what the video didn’t say:
We actually need to be out there getting exposed to everything - including coronavirus! I know it sounds counterintuitive, but think about it...we evolved and coexist with millions of potentially life threatening particulates - and yet here we are, thriving, a million years later.
Constant exposure to them and regularly fighting off colds and flus is how our bodies build natural immunities - and it’s really the only proven way. Our bodies do it far, far better than any Big Pharma antibiotic or vaccine.
When enough of us have been exposed (herd immunity), the virus encounters a lot of dead ends and dies off. Social distancing is a tragic mistake - it will only postpone it - whenever we end the social distancing, there will be a second wave, which is likely to be worse, because everyone’s immune systems are now weakened - like the Boy in the Bubble (John Travolta).
By the way, thanks for not giving up on me and trying out some new phrasing. I really appreciate that.
