COVID-19 has claimed one more life in Oregon, raising the states death toll to 87, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 8 a.m. Saturday. Oregon Health Authority also reported 76 new cases of COVID-19 as of 8 a.m. Saturday, bringing the state total to 2,253.
This is what we have heard from the mainstream media when it comes to COVID 19 and Oregon.
But no one reported the racism that was displayed by on Portland county.
An Oregon county in the Portland area said it was creating a safe grounding space for minority staff to escape a predominant whiteness. From Just The News:
The April 5 situation report from the Multnomah County Office of Emergency Operations Center announced that the Emergency Operations Center Equity Officer is hosting a grounding space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) employees to share, heal, connect, and get grounded in a space that is not dominated by whiteness.
Read a portion of the Emergency Operations Center bulletin below:
Multnomah County dismissed any notion that a government entity hosting a race-specific grounding space as a haven from whiteness could raise constitutional concerns or furnish grounds for a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), a federal agency that administers and enforces civil rights laws against workplace discrimination.
So, in other words, they are creating segregation zones. And denying certain people of certain skin color access.
It sounds like racial discrimination to me. Is anyone bringing forth a lawsuit against these non-humans?
OMG!! Democrats are EVIL!
Sooner or later this will boomerang on the vermin.
Sooner is much much better than later.
I wonder (not) why MSM does not yell “R A C I S M” on every cable channel?
are there safe spaces for those who want to escape blackness or brownness?
I’d wager that the only ones that will be ‘escaping’ “Whiteness” are themselves, er, white. GG. Well done. /s
Public officials are personally liable for violations of Federal civil rights laws. Some creative lawyers, aggrieved plaintiffs and well placed lawsuits would not only be corrective but remunerative.
Are these areas “separate but equal”? Do they get their own water fountains? How about their own sections on the bus?
Where’s Jennifer Gratz when you need her?
This has been going on for a while now; particularly on college campuses, where segregation being sought by "people of color" is seen as noble. Of course; whitey must still contribute financially to create these non-white "safe zones". To do otherwise would be deemed "racist".
It’s not race specific...it’s the fact that they are living close together in certain areas and congregate freely.
Can you imagine the reverse?
Oregon creating “space” for “Whites” to escape “non-Whites?”
It would be 24/7 national news - and blamed on Trump.
Now its a whitey disease. Its not a chinese disease, its a whitey disease
“This is just the latest example of how we are doing a 180 from the desegregation efforts of the 1960’s...”
Done by Obama.
It is called Whitopia.
You will know it when you see it. :-)
Are they grudgingly allowing orientals/yellows?
They might want to consider not, because there are a lot of yellow people handling the medical stuff, for sure. Id think theyd be sick of yellow people as well as white.
The Hamptons? Martha's Vineyard wasn't bad until O'Bummer and Mooch bought an oceanfront mansion.
I go to Maine and Vermont a lot..
Vermont’s still pretty good (although socialist as hell in non-gun related ways), but Obama really infected Maine with a big dose of Somalis. Depends on where in Maine you are, of course. Big state. I hear Lewiston and Augusta aren’t what they used to be, though.
I thought segregation was racist.
