Every year, we have a vaccine for the flu. Yet, in 2017-2018, 80,000 Americans died of the flu.

We have no vaccine for coronavirus, but only 55,000 have died so far.

Yesterday, there were the lowest number of deaths reported in almost a month is the USA, Italy, Germany, Spain, France and the UK.

The virus has peaked. Without a "magic vaccine," which will take 12-18 months to develop. If 80,000 people die when a flu vaccine exists, what impact will a coronavirus vaccine have? There is no magic bullet. Time to reopen America!

Given the same information, Dr. Erikson and Massihi would have made the same recommendations as Dr. Fauci, initially. Now it is time to reassess things.

These two docs aren't as hard on Fauci as the author of the article implies. At the beginning, Covid-19 looked really bad. As new information comes in, that perception changes over time. Except it took the time it did to get to this point.

Much of the press, left and right wing, are trying to make the professional disagreements and differences in approaches look personal antagonisms, to have good guys and bad guys because it sells. The reality is the people working on the science side are professionals who disagree professionally and aren't hostile to each other about it.
