“WTH is going on in Gallup, NM? The story doesn’t shed any light on it. It only brings up more questioins. Is this a small test run for marshal law, state wide in lefty states? Is this a trial ballooon for blue states? What?”

Google! You may even find the earlier threads on FR.

So you can't get your kicks on Route 66", at least through Gallop. As if that's gonna solve anything.

Interesting that the Navajo and the Cherokee are the two biggest tribes with the Cherokee being slightly larger.

And while both have the Corona virus it, the Navajo who seem to be taking the brunt of the infections.

In April, the Navajos had 321 people infected. At the same time the Cherokees of Oklahoma had 11 people with it. The Cherokee are closer together and near several bigger towns and cities, yet their rate of infection is smaller. I cannot find newer data yet.

Did anyone else notice that the vast majority of ‘stupidly responding’ states are governed by democrats and the most stupidly-est seem to be run by female democrats?

Did you men martial law? That is establishment of government in a specific area by the Armed Forces (i. e., the National Guard) rather than by civilian officials o that area, when they cannot administer effectively.

marshal law

The term is "martial" law. Martial as in "military."

They have a very high infection rate up there and instead of hitting a plateau the cases are growing. JMO, they are closing Gallup to keep the Navaho out.

The Navajo have a high rate of diabetes and obesity. They have been hit very hard. I’m in NM and laid off because of this crap, but the lock down was at the request of the Mayor.

The title tells the story ... uninhibited means no one is doing anything pro or con about it ... it's free to do what it does and

mitigated means to make it less severe.

So ..... they closed off a town so the free range of a "pandemic" would be less severe ..... see ?

The story says that the town is a covid hotspot. Not surprising that they would want to limit further spread in the town or to the rest of the state.
