There are a number of facts in this case that the leftists have been omitting or downplaying. Of course I can’t be 100 percent sure what I’ve heard is correct but here is what I’ve gathered -

1. The police had a no-knock warrant but they did NOT conduct a no-knock raid. They arrived, knocked, announced who they were, waited, then when the occupants failed to admit them they broke in.

2. One of the occupants fired on the officers as soon as they entered, the police returned fire, and Ms. Taylor was struck and killed.

3. The police were NOT at the wrong house. They had a warrant to search that premises AND search for a man who lived elsewhere. The other man was a suspected drug dealer who had been receiving packages delivered to the raid address.

There may be plenty of problems with the warrant, the raid, and the shooting but as is typical for such cases the media coverage is deliberately misleading.

You have a 10% chance of being right in your statements. Allegedly knocked, allegedly announced who they were, allegedly supported their action with multiple bodycam film (oh wait, no bodycams), had a great CI (unnamed and unidentified) who gave them that address and they had UPS/FEDEX receipts showing and proving delivery of drugs to that address. Sorry, probably in the coverup and spin cycle before the quick and quiet settlement in a year.

If you’ve ever been around a raid where they claim to knock, there’s a big difference between what a cop calls knocking, and what a citizen would call knocking and announcing. Typically, it’s not knocking and waiting for someone to answer the door.
It’s somebody pounding on the door two or three times And yelling “police search warrant” and within one second the battering ram knocks the door off the hinges. In most raids where the cop claims to knock, the person wouldn’t even have time to stand up, much less answer the door. Knock and announce to a cop happens almost simultaneously.
