I am trapped in Maryland till retirement.
One thing that surprised me is learning first hand how much black men here HATED Martin O’Malley even though he was elected twice as governor, that was in 2016 after he was out.
I also see under an unenforced stay at home order small groups of folks meeting in mall parking lots with fold up chairs, most of them black, and talking with them they are worried that someone will challenge them being outside with friends.

They certainly are. Also liking OK’s Gov. Kevin Stitt, who has done a fine job on re-opening. Local leftards exerted enormous pressure on him to lock everything & everyone down, but he didn’t caved in. IMHO, very deserving of respect. :-)
I was out and about in intown Atlanta today. Lots of restaurants open and outdoor patios filled with customers.
So I have taken to posting on FB on the All Concerned posts that they are prime candidates for one of my tie dye masks that I make and sell. So far they refuse to budge and buy a mask.

From the information that was given out at the beginning I personally thought this would be a lot worse then it turned out to be. I am happy to be wrong.
But a large number of people have become emotionally invested in this being the equivalent of the Justinian Plague. Once you have emotionally invested in an idea you tend to continue to ride it even if reality does not match up with your idea.

There are many people and groups of people who do not want the Country to get passed covid and get back to normal and get the economy going. I fear that there could be some to come into the states/cities that are doing better with decreasing numbers and try to spread covid with infected people or ???????

It sounds to me like all you need is the right opportunity, and things will take off more or less on their own.
