The Second Great Depression – Has It Started Yet? Can The Donald lead America out of the insanity of lockdown?

If Donald Trump is to be a great president, it could well be by leading America out of the insanity of lockdown.

When in the history of medicine has it made public health sense to quarantine almost all the people who are healthy?

A fully funded lockdown for the life of this pandemic would be just enough socialism to bankrupt America.

That's not what the free world needs.

The western world (especially Hong Kong and Taiwan?) needs America to stay solvent.

Its Pax Americana or China Over All.

(China Uber Alles?)

“an The Donald lead America out of the insanity of lockdown?”

Well he led us into the insanity so he can leads us out. The hold out Governors need to follow the plan..

As for Great Depression II I am not if we will have one. I think we will bounce back in Trumps first year of his second term. If Trump is not reelected game over.

Sure. I know three businesses that have closed their doors for good in my city so far. Several chains are closing many restaurants nationwide and JCPenny is filing for bankruptcy.

The DOW is up nearly 1000 points so it’s a bad day for this article.

It will exactly the same question as it always is:

We were MUCH better off.
Until the enemedia successfully persuaded the country to use Democrat ‘science”.

The lockdown is ending because the American people say it’s ending.
No further explanation from government is necessary. Thanks.

One day is not a trend. Let's see what it does tomorrow and the day after.

"Sure. I know three businesses that have closed their doors for good in my city so far. Several chains are closing many restaurants nationwide and JCPenny is filing for bankruptcy."

Business like JCPenny were hurting before the virus, take a look at Sears.

I know a lot of Mom and Pa restaurants are going under. Those are my brothers customers. He is collecting his equipment he leases out to them. He believes a lot of those will declare bankruptcy then reopen under a new Name. He will be there when they reopen to help them set up.

Here is list of Restaurants from Dec 11, 2019 that were not doing good before the virus. The virus is the fat lady singing

Restaurant chains that might be closing in 2020

Gap, Tesla and Victoria’s Secret are among the nearly 5,000 store closings already in 2019

The DOW is NOT the economy. Smart people can ALWAYS make money in the DOW no matter how f’d the economy is.

“People are in for a very rude awakening sometime in the next 6 to 8 months.”

I see two possible futures in my tea leaves. One: the virus does not come back with the economy bouncing back in a V shape next year. Two: the virus comes back and trashes the economy delaying a recovery by a very long time.

I am prepared for Two, but praying for One. 6 to 8 months is about the right time to know what happens.

“Can The Donald lead America out of the insanity of lockdown?“

Trump could start by apologizing to the Republican governor of Georgia for blasting him for opening up his state. A President Hillary couldn’t have been more harsh on Gov. Kemp. Trump gave aid and comfort to the shutdown forces by his STUPID rant against Kemp

Georgia is not experiencing a spike in serious cases. Trump should hold a press conference and point that out, so other governors will be prodded to follow Georgia’s example

The virus doesn’t trash the economy, fear and loathing does it.

“ Well he led us into the insanity so he can leads us out.”

He’s not going to lead us out by siding with Fauci and Birx against governors like Kemp of Georgia who are trying to open up. It’s incredible that while Trump has been complimenting Newsom, he blasted Kemp for starting to open up.

Newsom knows that if you say nice things about Trump in public he will say nice things about you - even if your policies stink. Trumps a narcissist that way. Kemp got on his bad side, so Trump blasts Kemp even when Kemp is doing the right thing.

Some of the businesses that I know that are closing weren’t doing great before the shutdown but the 2 month closure and slow return has killed them.

They are selling the properties.

Something else may open where they once stood but the previous owners are out of the business.

No indication here, whatsoever.
Stores are robust here with the reopening. Prices have NOT fallen. If fact the gated demand has opened. The Bottle Neck has commenced.
