My sympathies; it’s too bad that identity politics has forced us to see things in racial colors.

Agree. And how many petite, blonde females (for example) would be safe jogging through a ghetto?
And beyond that, when the inevitable happened to that white guy and he was mugged, beaten up, or murdered, how would the media and BLM bigmouths handle it? The victim would be ridiculed as out of touch and irresponsible, going somewhere he had no business being and ignoring the realities of urban life. The racial apology machine would fire up and make a million excuses why the murderers were justified in their “rage” and just defending their “turf.” And a host of equally specious arguments explaining why the victims were at fault.
