Not after the first 3 weeks, it wasn’t.
The hospitals were not overloaded. I am not sure the lockdown had anything to do with that
Hospitals were only going to be overloaded in hotspot areas: no need or reason to shutter the whole country.

Only at the cost of bankrupting hospitals. Putting doctors and nurses out of work, some of whom are likely to lose businesses. Causing the diagnosis of serious cancers to be delayed so as to further endanger many. Setting back schedules for “elected” surgeries that would have improved the lives of many. Creating financial strains on medical supply businesses that exist only to support the interrupted medical procedures. The list goes on I’m sure.
