In this case the Lieutenant Governor is a home grown engineer and should have been on top of the dam issue. Michigan has many dams. I guess those expert community organizing politicians need to get out of Lansing once in awhile.
Same for the Sanford Lake dam. After Wixom Lake's water deluged it, it's dirt emergency spillway failed, too.
Now, they're lowering Secord Lake (above Wixom Lake) by 10 feet for dam inspection.
Three MI lakes (and the river-lakes above them) were made nearly useless to all those waterfront property owners, indefinitely. By MI's dyke, green AG. All the ancillary resort/recreation businesses are hurt badly, too (boat supplies, fuel, food & beverage, hotels, fishing supplies & bait, cabin rentals, etc.).
