A video posted on social media this week shows a police officer keeping his knee planted on the neck of a black man who pleaded that he couldn’t breathe and subsequently died shortly afterward.
It happened Monday night, when cops were responding to a “forgery in progress.” Police arrived and saw the suspect sitting in a car. According to the Department, the man resisted arrest so he was placed in handcuffs, adding “he appeared to be suffering medical distress.”
The Police Dept. added, “At no time were weapons of any type used by anyone involved in this incident.”
What the P.D. did not address … is the video, and it’s incredibly disturbing.
The black man can be heard moaning and telling the officer that he’s having trouble breathing.
The officer doesn’t budge, as another officer passively watches.
It’s apparent the man is in distress, as a passerby screams, “That’s bulls***, bro. You’re stopping his breathing right there, bro. Get him off the ground, bro,” adding the officer was “enjoying it.”
The man becomes motionless, an ambulance shows up and the man is taken to a hospital where he died.

Today a new video surfaced that is showing the moment George Floyd was pulled from the vehicle and placed in handcuffs.
The new video also shows officers wrestling with Floyd as they attempt to restrain him and place him in handcuffs. YouTube version of the video:

Floyd’s family has reportedly retained the services of Benjamin Crump, a well-known civil rights attorney who previously represented the family of Michael Brown, a black teenager whose 2014 killing by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, helped propel the Black Lives Matter movement into national prominence.
Arradondo announced that four officers involved in the incident had been fired Tuesday afternoon, which Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said was “the right call.” Will this new video clear thing up or will create more troubles?

Why is the race card always played? Civil rights lawyer? Really? Why not just a criminal law one?
It’s clear the cops killed the guy. I’m just sick of all the race crap. Thus far, there is no evidence to support a race component. Just evidence that the cops killed the guy.
I did not see anything on that video that suggested that he needed to have a knee on his neck for any extended period.
It will be entertaining to watch the folks on FR come out and defend killing a guy in handcuffs.

It is like some people believe the police are our lords and masters. That if they want you to dance a jig, you better dance a jig.
Police should be able to deal with a man resisting arrest, without killing him, it is their job!

He might have committed forgery! I wonder what the good ol’ freepers would say if a cop treated a mask protester that way - crushed his windpipe while handcuffed in front of a crowd. Would the deceased be the ‘perp’? Would it be resisting arrest or resisting tyranny?
We got a Karen here! Um, it is called a citizens arrest - and it might have stopped a murder. Not all cops are ferals, but some are, you must admit. What if it was your family member being choked to death in front of you? and you had your gun? What would you do? yell for a moderator?

What is meant by “forgery in progress?” Is that a typo? Forgive me for asking if my overall lack of knowledge of this case prevent me from some obvious observation.

Perhaps some business called in report a person try to pass a forged check or prescription.
You don’t really wonder what “the good ol’ freepers” would say, do you? One of the most brilliant things about this forum is the exchange of diverse “conservative” viewpoints. Some people say hateful things here. It’s true. Some ought to be individually called out from time to time. Yes. When government was under some reasonable restraint, so were their armed enforcers. No longer the case for either.
