While I’m sure the governor has no idea what the difference between “automatic files” and semi-auto rifles is, I also have to take issue with the misconception presented here that private ownership of automatic weapons was banned by the 1934 National Firearms Act (soon to be declared unconstitutional).
The NFA required registration of firearms covered under the act as well as a transfer tax. The Firearm Owners’ Protection Act of 1986 barred most private possession of fully automatic weapons produced after May 19th, 1986. Exceptions have been carved out for FFLs to sell and demonstrate newer automatic weapons to police and other government agencies. If you can afford to buy a pre-1986 automatic weapon, it’s perfectly legal in most states (I think 8 have restrictions beyond FOPA/GCA/NFA).
I doubt it. I am sure some of them have some had some gig type jobs, but I don’t think there are many actual small business owners waddling around in militia gear.
People with real jobs and responsibilities don’t have time to play dress up.

Okay, I stand corrected but fully automatic weapons in private hands are still very rare. I personally know no one who ones one. Also who sells them?
Gun shops transfer them all the time. I make up for you. I know several people that own at least one. I make it a point to be friends with them so I can play with their toys.
There must be a lot of paperwork involved in buying them. I rarely hear of fully automatic weapons used in a crime so they are not easy to get.
Not a single one of the people you list have ever in the history of mankind protested DEMANDING TO WORK.
