Which assumes you are a plague-carrying danger to everyone else, and so you can (and should be) forced to wear a mask. The simple logic you expressed is completely foreign to them. It’s like trying to explain stock options to a 10-year old.
In my county, 4% of those tested with symptoms are positive. So if non-symptomatic people are only a small fraction of carriers, then 99.8% of the people are not sick and unless I stand on top of that .2% of the population I'd say my risk is fairly low.
It's baffling that so many Freepers who recognize the idiocy of that statement are willing to surrender their own freedom when it comes to something like infectious diseases that have been a reality of human existence for thousands of years.
