I listened to Esper and it wasn't taken out off context.

I couldn't believe he went in front of the cameras to disagree with the commander in chief. You give your opinion in private.

He was in effect trying to subvert Trump's right to call out the military if needed. It's not up to Esper to decide when it is needed. It is the President's decision.

For 200 years, the Insurrection Act has given presidents the power to deploy the military to quell unrest

No it wasn’t taken out of context. It’s another deep state warning to Donald Trump that if he wants to continue to play President, he’d better not try to exercise the powers of his office.

Do you remember the Republican Senators warning Trump not to fire Mueller, OR ELSE? I do.

Do you remember the Republicans who had the power to remove the impeached Donald Trump warning him not to involve the Bidens in the trial? I do.

Do you remember Jim Mattis, in an act that may have violated the UCMJ, denouncing the President in a dog whistle to serving officers who may have to play a role in the next chapter of the globalist color revolution? I do.

Donald Trump has to take power or give it up. It certainly looks like he would rather resign than rule - and with the forces arrayed against him, that may well be a wise choice.

I hope and pray that you are WRONG in your assessment of the SecDef — I for one have no doubt that IF President Trump loses confidence is Mark that he WILL be replaced — and very swiftly -— for now I WANT to believe that Mark’s words were taken out of context — and if proven wrong, I will JOIN the ranks of those calling for his resignation — for now - I will take a wait and see approach -— I hope he takes to the cameras today and clears up any confusion -— I know of many who are already calling for his resignation — IF that continues it will become too much of a distraction and then he SHOULD resign —

In this case, Trump is wrong. Terribly wrong. Catastrophically wrong. Esper knows this. If Trump won't listen to his advice, he has to do all he can to prevent a catastrophic policy error.

Esper is doing all in his power to prevent a historically humongous catastrophic mistake by Trump. That’s how I see it. See above.

I’m a student of history, too.

And while your point re: Lebanon and Ulster are good ones, I call your attention to the by-now standard Color Revolution script for extra-political, extra-electoral regime change - which is exactly what is happening here.

The question has been placed on the table by America’s domestic enemies - “Does the President control the military? Will they follow his orders?”

I don’t think he does. And I don’t think they will.

Not to go full Napoleon, but power is very close to lying in the gutter, waiting to be picked up.

The question is, will the President pick it up? Somebody has to.

Donald Trump has to take power or give it up. It certainly looks like he would rather resign than rule - and with the forces arrayed against him, that may well be a wise choice. -- I don't see that yet -- again watching closely ---

Let the Democrat-run “progressive” cities fail totally, on their own.

If Soros-funded Communist DAs release looters and arsonists with no bail, do you think the active-duty military can “fix” these cities? Soldiers will be charged to the max for every infraction, while Antifa terrorists are released every morning. It’s a trap.

What is unfolding is national triage. The total failure of these cities must be laid 100% at the feet of their “progressive” leaders.

Sending in the active-duty military will just shift the blame from the Democrat politicians and their policies to Trump and the military.

It would be a total catastrophe.

Analogy: you have a well-known violent, suicidal, criminal, drunk sociopath drowning in a riptide.

Do you send your only son out to save him?

To prove a point about your superior morality, you will sacrifice your only son in an attempt to save the violent sociopath who wants to kill him?

No, in this case, you let him drown.

REPOST: Trump is a smooth operator. He is challenging the Mayors and Governors acting on behalf of the DNC; by issuing this designation to one of the groups ALWAYS PRESENT when BLM types protest their way into rioting and looting, Trump is removing one group from the equation. Once this group of predominantly White troublemakers are gone, all that is left is the BLM and politicians predominantly Black from Police Chief to Mayor or DA to the Governor of each State.

Federal Law can be used for crossing State lines in the commission of a crime, e.g., to riot or loot, to harm people or property. Applying it only at this point publicly to the “predominantly” White Antifa it gives the DNC an out or way to save face while ending the riots. Should this fail Trump will enforce curfews using Active Duty Military taking it again out of the bag of tricks Democrats use to ensure stores and malls are closed without shoppers or employees to be hurt. There is a pattern in that most of the rioting is done after curfews are in effect.

Martial Law if used in certain cities or areas of a city again takes the legal option out of the bag of tricks Democrats use... e.g., by not enforcing laws or legal constraints upon “protesters”.

Trump will be able to show that Democrats are unable to protect and serve the public that votes them into office.

Does Trump really want to go there, and that answer is generally a No, however along the way if these actions are implemented it takes step by step control of the narrative from the politicians of the opposition DNC.

Might the Trump Administration review the official actions and communications of the public servants? Likewise, might the phone and email communications of people arrested come into play? Out of Stater’s Yes, local folk maybe depending upon the severity of the circumstance. Could the DOJ charge and try police chiefs/officers, mayors, DAs, city administrators, Governors and others who fail uphold their Oath of Office to protect the public?

We are in agreement ab.out letting the mayors sleep in the beds they made.

But much greater forces are in motion. Mattis and Kelley are setting the stage for an orchestrated demand for Trump’s resignation, backed by the Senate Democrats and the governors of New York and California. threat of force. Espy’s comments in this regard are particularly disturbing.

I’m not worried about DeBlasio. I’m worried about a coup.

And an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The Commander in Chief needs to demonstrate that he is in command.

Demonstrating your command by shooting yourself in both feet is stupid.

Let the failed cities fail in full sight. Don’t let the Left shift the blame onto Trump.

Also a repost:

No matter how bad conditions get in “progressive” cities beset by riots, sending in the active duty military “to restore order” will only make matters worse, and shift the blame for everything that follows from the failed policies of their commie mayors onto President Trump. (I’m not counting the state national guard, reservist units which are called up by governors.)

Currently, looters and arsonists are released without bail by commie DAs. OTOH, active-duty soldiers, if sent in, will be charged to the max for every use of force by the same commie DAs. This is a lose-lose paradigm for the good guys.

So then what has to happen, when arsonists are released and soldiers arrested? The active-duty military will have to take over the civil governments of these failed cities, kicking out their commie mayors and DAs.

Then come the IEDs and sniper attacks. This escalation is SO PREDICTABLE I COULD SCREAM!!!!!!!

The British Army was sent to Northern Ireland as “peacekeepers.” How did that work out?

Ditto Marine “peacekeepers” in Beirut.

Or how about Iraq, after we demobilized the Iraqi army, and took responsibility for restoring civil order?

That was just great, wasn’t it?

There have been 100+ dynamite attacks in Pennsylvania in the past week. If the active-duty military is sent in, the dynamite will be turned into IEDs, and soldiers will face sniper attacks on every city street. And Trump will be blamed for every casualty on every side.

IT’S A TRAP! DON’T DO IT!

If our Constitution did not intend for the military to be used when needed then why does the oath say “All enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC”. Seems everyone is forgetting that detail.

As to General Mattis, he never had a problem with the death and maiming of our young men and women rtecting the people over seas, but has a problem protecting the American people and their property here at home. Think about that for a minute.

And you know Trump well enough to know he was using that as a bargaining chip with the cowardly dem leaders. That is until Esper and the other military types took that card off the table. Good grief, with strategic thinkers like that it’s no wonder we have been fighting without winning for the last 20 years in the Middle East.

Frankly, I’m surprised at you Travis.

“Sending in the active-duty military will just shift the blame from the Democrat politicians and their policies to Trump and the military.”

Exactly. The violence will escalate as the democraps blame the troops for the escalation. “Occupiers” will be the label on the troops. The left will wrap themselves in the flag and claim they are being patriotic in attacking the troops.

Let the cities burn without the troops. The violence will not leave the cities as we outside the cities won’t let that happen.

P.S. I think Trump offered and threatened troops knowing the governors and mayors will refuse that assistance so when it all falls down Trump can claim he tried to help.

When martial law is in effect understand that Military Law is suspends the local political order. Now reapply military law to your repost and see how the outcome really happens. It is very likely that arrests of politicians will be made for the reasons stated in my report:)
