I have not watched but would guess that this ‘influencer’ was his nanny. He has publicly expressed his affection towards her in writing and speeches over his lifetime.

Just a guess!

In his 5 volume, “History of WWII”, Churchill mentions that the only person who gave him any affection as a child was his Nanny, Mrs. Everest.

Here is one I got from Paul Harvey on the radio.

Sir Alexander Fleming’s Father saved Churchill’s life when he was a boy. He was swimming in a lake in Scotland.

Churchill’s Father offered to reward Fleming. He said he did not want anything for himself but wondered if he would send his child to college.

During WWII, Churchill’s life was saved by the very scarce antibiotic penicillin, discovered by guess who?
