There are no ticks in my yard and I do get the occasional Possum. Maybe I should thank them.
I’ve eaten every kind of animal in the woods around where i was brought up. Squirrel, woodchuck, coon, bear,muskrats, beaver, deer etc. but never a possum. Reason: I went to my Gramma’s house once to get her prescription and saw two possums doing it on the road. I got the script and on my way out, I saw where somebody had run over and killed (what I figure was the female from the bottom). I got the pills and on my way back to Gramma’s, There was the male feasting on the dead female! Even I got sickened.
