I was born, 83 years ago, in Leesburg, which is just a couple of miles from The Villages.
A few years ago my wife and I went there just to see what it is like. We were met by a relatively young well made up, well dressed professional greeter.
She made the usual “welcome to The Villages” speech and asked where we were from. When I said that I was born in Leesburg, she replied, “How neat, I’ve never met anyone from Florida”.
Just goes to show that they all come from the northern states.
Leesburg and most of Florida has many mobile home parks full of these northern retirees who don’t have enough money to get into high priced places like The Villages.
The next time someone makes some snide remark about “Florida man”, just remember that he/it is probably that obnoxious person that you knew up North before you both moved to Florida.
And now you don’t like how things are done in Florida and you are trying to change things so it’s more like “back home” I’ve heard all that stuff. If you don’t like it here why did you come here?
Go back to where you came from. Delta is ready whenever you are.
Don’t tell me how much better off we are because of all the money you bring. You are destroying Florida just like you did to the place you came from.
amen sir. my husband and I were both born and raised in/near Orlando. The idiots turning our precious state purple/blue are not from here.
