Happy birthday to one of the finest conservative minds of our age. I gave my dad one of his books as a Christmas present, and read it myself once Dad had finished reading it.
I appreciate Sowell’s ability to explain and discuss complex subjects in terms that almost anyone can understand.

90 years - I couldn’t imagine he was that old.

Dr Sowell, you are an outstanding, incomparable scholar and teacher of a most difficult and complex topic, economics. But unlike pie-in-the-sky sociologists, you use your topic and your giftedness to explain society, history and culture from a firm factual point of view. I truly wish you had been our first black president, but can easily see why the job did not interest you. Most of DC becomes hysterical when confronted with facts, and the love of your fellow man and our nation that you have demonstrated. Thank you, sir, for your life’s work.
