God’s TRUE people haven’t lost- We are part of His plan, and things are going along just like He planned for- You say we have very little influence in the world- I disagree- We live our lives as unto God and that is what He desires and blesses- Yes, there are people and churches that claim to be Christian, but they are not- they live immorally, abort, worship the created instead of the Creator- but the world has always had these kinds of folks- for 6000 years- Yet God’s TRUE children go on being obedient to Him through it all- Our world isn’t swallowed up in evil- even though we have to endure the Evil all around us- We don’t allow the Evil in our homes or lives, and as such are witnesses to God’s Salvation and change in a person’s life
Even just little things, like helping a neighbor in need- without any fanfare, or helping a drunk friend safely home when they call for help, or stopping to help that drug addled acquaintance get a meal or whatever- is a powerful influence and testimony- There are millions and millions of True Christians all over the world living the quiet life as an example of a changed life through Christ-
God knows and judges the heart-
Thankfully there are plenty of True Christians still around- who though being far from perfect- still live a life that shows the lost world that there is a better life awaiting-
This world is Satan’s realm right now- He is the prince of the world- His evil is everywhere- and htigns are going to get much much worse- but thankfully the TRUE church is still here, keeping it in check as best we can through the help of the Holy spirit- If the TRUE church wasn’t here- there would be no restrainer at all, and Evil would have free reign with absolutely nothing to oppose it- BUT the TRUE Church’s influence in restraining the Evil is going to slowly diminish, just as the bible states that it will- and there is nothing we can do about it as the end times get closer- We can, and Are still fighting it as we can, and still being a light in a dark world, but The plan is to allow Satan to gain more and more power so that the end times can be ushered in-
Yep- many false christian churches and people have abandoned God altogether, but there is still the remnant that are Truly God’s people left- We’re not just sitting around doing nothing and caving in to all the current evils of the world, we are praying, we are living for God, we are making mistakes, we are confessing our failings, we are being the light that God expects us to be whether that entails standing on street corners preaching to crowds, or quietly going about our business on earth, doing our jobs, providing for family, and being a witness through our actions without any fanfare-
Many will fall away in the end times, this has been prophesied, but many will also remain true- and continue being an influence for Godliness in a world given over to the Evil One- We will vote, Soem will make voices known where they can to combat evil, protest if need be, but mostly we will pray, and continue being a light-
I guess the main point is- Christians all down through the ages- especially back in Christ’s time, weren’t involved in changing governments, or changing people’s lifestyles for them- They were simply Christians (Yes, even before Christ came on the scene), who lived in obedience to God in very very sinful societies- they worked, took care of their families, and tried to witness either outright, or through their living examples to others- just like True Christians do today
In recent times, We’ve had ‘Christian movements’ that got involved in government, trying to fight the Evils openly- but that is not the main goal of Christians really- it’s to spread His word to the 4 corners of the earth, which many many Christians are doing, especially now that we have internet and TV making it a lot simpler
Just being a witness for God here on FR and other sites, reaches people clear across the world as folks get presented with biblical truths that they otherwise would never have seen had they not been on a site like this-
God’s word is very powerful, no matter where it is presented- His word will not return void, and people sitting in their cushy homes, online, can be a part of that wonderful experience thanks to the WWW, and even thanks to phones and the like-
All is not lost- Christian conservatism has not lost- God is still powerfully working through His people all over the world, even here in one of the most blessed and abundant, and plush societies around-
Christians of old had to live in societies rife with homosexuality, child sacrifice, pagan worship, and in brutal brutal conditions because their governments were so hostile towards believers- many believers simply went about their lives being a light in a dark world- quietly, and effectively thanks to the power of the Holy Spirit
We still are today- even more so in many cases because we are blessed with free speech, and the means to get that free speech to all corners of the world instantly- even when we don’t realize it=- (IE- someone across the world reads a post about Christ, the Holy Spirit works in that person’s life, and they search our Christ as a result- the original poster however had no idea that even happened)
True Christians are still living obedient to God- still privileged to be a part of the restraining work of the Holy Spirit, in either large ways or small, even both sometimes- Just the mere presence of True bible preaching churches throughout the world presents at least a modicum of restrain on the part of the Evil One’s followers, for the time being- Just as God has planned it from the beginning-
And yet who is president?

Like most heresies, this is a partial truth, exaggerated to ignore reality. Bad diets can make you sick (beriberi anyone?) But this lets people blessed with health to look down on the sick.
In contrast, Paul has a lot of skepticism about dietary rules.
As for success, that is not a Christian virtue. Again, a heresy with some truth in it.
We should aim at doing the job God wants us to do. Being successful may be God's will, and he expects us to do our best.
But what if God sends failure to test us? Book of Job?
