I think part of Hollyweird’s problem is too many of them have spent to much time enveloped in a cloud of “unreality”.
No one tells them no, no one tells them that’s a stupid idea, they soon loose the ability to distinguish a script from real life. They certainly have no concept of whether their personal knowledge on a subject or any subject is lacking and no one tells them it isn’t!

They tend to get into character for different roles then lose their own actual identity and then can’t figure out who the hell they really are. So they settle on just being assholes.
