It depends.
Most of the current affairs news that I got about the Soviet Union, Leonid Brezhnev, the Soviet Politburo, Eastern Europe, The Warsaw Pact etc, I got from those magazines. We didn't have the internet then. I was very interested in what went on in those countries.
Newsweek/Time were very good on a lot of subjects.
