In a word, yes.

But why? There has never been a better time to be alive IMHO. We live in a wonderful time but so many of our young seem determined to make their lives miserable.

Without God, there is no purpose in life. If you have no purpose, you get depressed and angry, and many people don’t know why.
Depressed and angry equals what we see and read about every day lately.

How is it that so many people could be so ignorant when almost everyone can go online and learn about almost anything - you can have anything from the Gilgamesh Epic to a free course in Physics or History right at the computer you have in your pocket or at home. And people don’t know when WWII happened? Are people that dull and lazy? It seems so.

Hell yes, single parent homes and/or blended families, participation trophies, no work ethic instilled, deep in debt for a worthless education——education debt is result of collusion between academia and financial institutions...

Progress paradox. The better life is the more time we have to stop and think. But humans aren’t good at focusing on what we have and what’s good. Too many centuries as hunter gatherers. We think about what’s missing, what’s wrong. So we sit in our living room thinking about how Bob’s got a bigger TV. Mary’s got a better couch. And Jeremy and Silvia have more sex. Therefore everything is terrible. No matter how great it is.

And of course for the young it’s more so. They don’t remember before. They know now. They can’t compare our current environmental issues to when Lake Erie regularly burned. They don’t know then, they only know now. They can’t compare the economy to the Carter years. They don’t know then. Happiness breeds misery.

Our workers have been sold out to slave states for corporate profits for decades by both parties. Overseers from such states like China are then allowed to buy up property here and become their landlords.

The result is very few young people see any hope of being able to afford even the most meager home and affording a family seems like going to the moon. Unless they have a rare talent in some tech field or family connections to get into a high paying industry (with few jobs open).

When I was starting out it was absolutely possible to buy a decent home on a single blue collar salary in your early 20s. Today most white collar kids can’t afford to and see no hope with rents outpacing salaries.

We have a HUGE percentage of young people who see no hope but to burn it all down. Because they are being forced to compete with and live like workers in 3rd world slave states

Haidt and Lukianoff clarify that the student was calling for cultural genocide, meaning the dissolution of the culture of “whiteness,” rather than actual genocide;

Nonsense.

The little Hutu want to be means exactly what he said.

He wants all people that he deems "White" dead.

That is not paranoia that is based on a realist examination of what this kind of propagandized nit-wittery leads to.

For one thing I think they have been way over medicated. All those ADD diagnoses. Head meds in developing minds. Pregnant moms taking anti depressants. It’s unprecedented.

Generation Z is as is and named to be the last generation.

The beginnings of Generation Z is birth dates of the mid 1990's and was to be the last due to some belief in the Mayan Calender that the World would end 12.21.2012.

Their sourness is that World did not end and the next Generation now has to be Z.2.

I see and hear it at work. Snowflakes demanding the company pay off their college debt. Complaining life is rigged against them. Get real.

It sounds, to me, like they pilfered the title & message of their book.

What is this Gen Z?

I am Gen X. That was supposed to end about 1984. The next was going to be called Gen Y then they started carelessly using “Milleniel”. So where does this Gen Z start?

Only those who went to public school and to Ivy League or most other universities. The rest have a better grounding in reality.

My kids are “Gen Z” ... they aren’t perfect but, DD is a college graduate, has a job, married and has a house. Her hubs is a certified welder and makes more $ than I do.

DS1 is a mechanic and truck driver, hard core Trump supporter.

DS2 just graduated and is looking for a job. We have no doubt he will find one.

Because ... Trump economy.

The kids and their friends are conservative, hard working and many are Christian. The boys particularly like shooting sports and hunting.

They are a breath of fresh air.
