PING!
Who uses Samsung Pay anyway? Apple Pay and Alipay are the two largest, arent they, and Walmart doesnt take those either.
more secure method of Samsung Pay? Really?
Most CC companies are releasing cards with near field chips that do the same thing. You cant get mad at WalMart. Thats not their call; the POS vendor is the one dictating that.
Poor babies.
I haven’t set foot in a walmart in 12 1/2 years. Try that, you’ll feel better.
Its Walmart Pay they want you to use, instead, for wireless payment at the checkout.
We dont use it. We want them to use Apple Pay.
First world problems. Im pretty sure Walmart has their own contactless payment via their app.
I think Target takes other mobile pays as does Publix. Kroger is Samsung only which is annoying but Im not physical card phobic.
Who cares?
This fancy Apple, MS, Samsung sh!t is meant to entice tech crazed millennial hipsters in order to track their purchases, spending and track where every penny goes.
THEY are hoping that this trend continues eventually leading us into a cashless society.
Ohhh... wouldn’t the gov LOVE that!
I am completely happy using my debit card or CASH.
If not using this pay method is all you’ve got to worry about, you ain’t got nothing to worry about.
Quit shopping at Walmart
I’d rather pay a little extra about anywhere, as to support them
Have you considered that Samsung pay may COST Walmart more than other methods?
Walmart keeps its prices low by driving down their costs. Companies are forced to change packaging and content in order to make it through their buying process.
Ever wonder why products have X number of units in a box? Most of the time it has to do with how Walmart stocks their trucks and shelves. A 1% improvement in their cost-supply-chain translates into tens of millions of dollars.
Do you think Samsung pay—which has to make money by being the middle man—is charging more than the MasterCard or Visa Network? You better believe they do.
Cutting out the middleman has been Walmart’s most effective management tool for 50 years or more.
Walmart will listen to their customers. But if you are pulling out your credit card and using it —despite it being “less secure” to you...then you are proving their point.
Walmart is studied at Grad schools all over the world. There is a reason why some people hate them—they do not tolerate inefficiency and they are “machine like.”
“You” just happen to be “the victim” today.
Never even heard of Samsung Pay. Of course they also have Walmart Pay. Apple Pay and a bunch of other Pays. Really, at some point you have to decide which ones are worth the cost to deal with. Maybe Samsung didn’t cut the biscuit.
Time for me to bitch about ZILLOW.
Zillow achieved number one in rental apartment listing(s) and is holding the whole world up for payment. There site even lies about the one-week free listing.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME at ZILLOW. Just block them.
I am now stuck 100% on Craigslist.
I always pay with cash where ever I shop. Cannot be tracked or traced.
I am a Samsung user because I hate Apple, but with a Samsung device you are not nearly as limited to what you can install. Hell, you never used to be able to install a Wifi connection checker in an iPhone. Crazy stuff.
That being said, Samsung pay for me is really easy to use on my watch. I don’t have to reach into pocket and when you forget your wallet, no problem.
I was going to say that I thought Samsung has some assembly in China, so both Apple and Samsung suck, but I guess only Apple uses concentration camp slave labor to assemble their phones of the big two:
“Samsung actually shut down its last remaining smartphone factory in China this year. As of 2019, the company is not making any phones in the Peoples Republic. It previously had two factories in China but as Samsungs market share fell below 1% in the country, it had to scale back production. It no longer makes financial sense for Samsung to manufacture phones in China. Which is why it has now stopped doing that.”

PS: They (Apple) gets a discount of said concentration camp slave labor by helping the CCP track down people who resist the CPP, so it is a Win-Win for totalitarians.
