Since we started burning fossil fuels on a widespread, global scale, the number of people killed by natural disasters has gotten smaller, not bigger.

Does this mean that we have fewer natural disasters now than in the past?

No.

Instead, what it means is that the huge amount of wealth that we have created by burning fossil fuels has made us better able to withstand natural disasters.

This chart shows the number of people killed (per 100,000 population) by natural disasters by decade.

You can see a bigger version of the chart by clicking this link: https://www.businessinsider.com/natural-disasters-used-to-be-so-much-worse-2015-2

This is a huge Jordan Peterson theme.

Free enterprise, human brains and spontaneous social cooperation have created incredible wealth and improvements in the last century - and progress is accelerating. We’ve eliminated diseases, we’ve raised life-spans by several decades around the world, and we’ve lifted billions out of poverty. Its an incredible achievement for humanity.

Beware the statists and social engineers and their ideologies who feel they must meddle with that.

Hold the Ctrl key and click the + key will enlarge the graft.
Not addressing you, but it seems that some "freepers" attack other Freeper's post for trivial reasons in order to drive people away from the site because of the obvious rudeness.

It is still blurry. Sure its slightly bigger, but still not legible. Why not just inset the original?
