Murkowski is a bald-face liar... She said she would vote FOR this nomination... alas, she lied (nothing new).

Murkowski will vote to confirm, but she did not believe the nomination should take place prior to the election. So she acknowledged that she was outnumbered on that opinion of timing, so would vote the confirmation on the merits of ACB’s obvious qualifications.

It was not significant, like when Sen. McCain betrayed us with his vote to prolong ObamaCare (ACA). She had already signalled that she was against the vote prior to the election and thus voted against proceeding. Everyone knew with Sen. Romney there were 51 votes to proceed. However, she signaled she will vote yes tomorrow, which lessens the threat of a primary challenge, so look for at least 52 Yea votes tomorrow to confirm Amy Coney Barrett as a Supreme Court Justice.

I think she said she would vote to confirm, NOT to have the senate confirmation vote.
I’m no Murky fan, but I don’t think she lied... yet.

Murkowski is a bald-face liar... She said she would vote FOR this nomination... alas, she lied (nothing new)...this vote was just a procedural vote - to cut off discussion of the nominee after thirty hours - the real vote to confirm will come tomorrow night after the thirty hours is up - when presumably Murkowski will vote yes to actually put Barrett on the bench - but Murkowski's still a jerk......

She’s said all along that she opposes pushing any nomination through at this time. FWIW, it’s not actually a vote against Barrett. Not that I don’t expect a betrayal after.

She didn’t vote against the nomination. She voted against moving it to the floor for a final vote. Probably an authorized CYA dissent. Let’s see what she does tomorrow before we drag her out in front of a firing squad, eh?

This is the protest against the process vote. Confirmation is tomorrow and she has said she will vote to confirm.
