Iowa is a bellwether indicator. The state often reflects how the rest of nation feels. In fact, they are the first state to run presidential primaries.
The trends coming out of the latest Iowa poll thrust many Democrats into panic.

The poll shows Trump leading 64 to 28 on those who plan to vote n Election Day.
But up 48-41 overall.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The key here folks is that this poll was WRONG in 2016:
it was Trump by 10, not 7.
I don’t put much stock in any polls, but this one is consistent, if consistently low.
Trump 320-340 EVs, pop vote, hold the Senate 52-48, good shot at the House. Need about 5 surprises.
YAY! Haveta say I never believed the early Iowa polls favoring Biden. They appear to have been conducted at the U of I campus in Ames

What I’m getting at here is ... things look pretty locked in. Not the election outcome itself! That ain’t locked in at all! But our final averages may not change much. Especially after adding these polls because they have huge sample sizes and so get a lot of weight in our model.”

Some GOP insiders have been saying all along Ernst and Trump likely win by 10.
