Most CTH readers are likely aware of the term “deplatforming.” Unfortunately the big tech control mechanism to shut down speech & assembly has now arrived on our doorstep.
One week after the 2020 presidential election, The Conservative Treehouse received the following notification:
…”given the incompatibility between your site’s content and our terms, you need to find a new hosting provider and must migrate the site by Wednesday, December 2nd.
What does this mean? It means CTH is being kicked-off the WordPress website hosting platform because the content of our research and discussion does not align with the ideology of those who define what is acceptable speech and what is not.
What was our violation? After ten years of brutally honest discussion, opinion, deep research and crowdsourcing work -with undeniable citations on the events we outline- there is no cited violation of any term of service because CTH has never violated one.

I have been shocked at the insight and analysis of Sundance. He’s punching way above his weight class.
Wordpress has shut down and deplatformed many conservative websites over the past couple years. I’m surprised the Conservative Treehouse lasted as long as it has without trouble.
Wordpress is open source and can be hosted elsewhere.
Wordpress.com is just another generic hosting site. There are literally hundreds of alternatives even if Sundance is too lazy or cheap to set up his own hosting environment.
This notion that private business owners can't decide what traffic they want to host is just sad.
You should read some Solzhenitsyn.

All it means is your preferred message isn't being promoted by one group of people who are looking to make money off of their site.
As I said, in this case there are literally hundreds of web hosting sites that could accommodate TCH.

There was at least a semblance of coherence in your argument when you were trying to apply it to what you (wrongly) claimed were monopolistic providers, but now when you're trying to apply it to wordpress.com it's nothing but fascistic.
WordPress — just another Rat operation. Platform elsewhere — not the end of the world.
