Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, said the state would have a recount because of the slim vote margin.
Sterling said counties will hand-count a deck of ballots as a test, which will then be sent through high-speed scanners located at the central county elections office. If the tallies match and the election workers determine the scanner is working accurately, every single ballot will then be rescanned.
A recount in Georgia’s presidential race found more than 2,600 ballots in Floyd County that hadn’t originally been tallied, likely helping President Donald Trump reduce his 14,000-vote deficit to Joe Biden.
Trump could gain nearly 800 net votes from the discovered ballots. There were 1,643 new votes for Trump and 865 for Biden.
Yesterday a second Georgia county has uncovered a trove of votes not previously included in election results, but the additional votes won’t change the overall outcome of the presidential race, the secretary of state’s office said Tuesday.
A memory card that hadn’t been uploaded in Fayette County, just south of Atlanta, was discovered during a hand tally of the votes in the presidential race that stems from part of a legally mandated audit to ensure the new election machines counted the votes accurately, said Gabriel Sterling, a top official in the secretary of state’s office.
The memory card’s 2,755 votes are not enough to flip the lead in the state from Democrat Joe Biden to Republican President Donald Trump. The breakdown of the uncounted ballots was 1,577 for Trump, 1,128 for Biden, 43 for Libertarian Jo Jorgensen and seven write-ins, Sterling said.
And today third county found more uncounted votes.
As the Walton Tribune reported, the audit of votes in the presidential race revealed missing votes in Walton County.
Two hundred eighty-four ballots were added from the Between precinct. They netted 176 votes for President Donald Trump.
The certified totals as of last week showed Trump, the Republican incumbent, with 37,617, or 74.03%, of 50,811 votes in Walton County.
But as of Tuesday afternoon, Trump’s local haul had risen to 37,842, or 74.06% of 51,095 votes.
Democratic nominee Joe Biden came in a distant second in Walton County at 12,682 votes, or 24.82%. He was at 12,633 after the certification last week.
Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen gained 10 votes. She finished at 571, or 1.12%.
Lori Wood, chairwoman of the Board of Election, said the Between precinct had two scanners.
“One of them got uploaded and another one didn’t,” she said.
Wood said she was confident the error would have been found and all votes counted.
“We would have discovered it. Maybe not this week, but we would have discovered it,” she said. “The audit brought it to our attention sooner.”
Georgia Public Broadcasting reported that of the counties that have completed their audits from the presidential election, 57 had no change in their original results, 21 were within a vote and 32 were within 10 votes.
In addition to the error in Walton County, two other mistakes have narrowed Trump’s deficit in Georgia.
Funny all these found drives are in Republican ran counties. In this case Supervisor of Elections Bobby Beasley REP was in charge. In fact all the elected officials there are Republican. Who is committing fraud here? Republicans are in charge!
Trump contended that the Georgia recount was “a waste of time. They are not showing the matching signatures.” But sometimes a simple recount does find a stack of missed votes.
All three counties netting President Trump more votes, shrinking Joe Biden’s narrow lead in the State, & raising more concerns about the accuracy of the election.

The whole recount is a shame but is also finding lost votes somehow.
Weird that all the found votes are helping Trump.
It’s usually the other way around.
Nobody seems to be mentioning that those uncounted ballots might also if counted push Senator Perdue past the 50% mark and thereby avoiding a Runoff. Is there a chance that the Senate Votes in his race will be counted from those uncounted ballots?

I have irrefutable evidence that GA local election officials were instructed by state to report original vote totals & NOT report recount totals which are different.
These people are corrupt to point of criminality. They are intentionally engaged in fraud in a federal election.
Trump won in a landslide. Massive fraud by demonrats and RINOs was committed after they called a counting halt. This was so obvious that I don’t know how they thought no one would figure it out. They think Trump supporters are stupid?

Good morning.
Last night, I filed an Emergency Motion for Injunctive Relief against GA Secretary of State.
Relief sought includes an order prohibiting certification which includes defective absentee ballots & requiring that a hand recount be performed.

For every box hiding behind some filing cabinets, there are probably dozens of them sitting in gulches and dumpsters
Everyone knows it's just one big happy party with the Dems and Republicans pretending to fight each other for the purpose of ginning up campaign contributions. Meanwhile there grift goes on with everyone in offices getting fat off contracts to favored contributors. Legal bribery.
Pres. Trump stepped in and tried to do something weird; he actually worked for the benefit of the citizens of the U.S. This was terribly upsetting to the Uniparty as you are always supposed to promise, but never deliver. How else do you get to run for reelection until you are 111 years old like Pelosi.

They deleted votes for Trump, and manufactured votes for Biden.
