The most left-wing member of the House of Representatives has publicly signaled interest in serving as the next U.S. senator from California, saying that “it would be an honor” if she was selected to finish the term of freshman Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA).
Congresswoman Barabara Lee (D-CA), who has represented Oakland since 1998, showed her interest in a Twitter statement Thursday. According to GovTrack, Lee was the “most politically left” member of the House of Representatives in 2019.

And I believe Harris was the "most politically left" member of the Senate - even more so than Bernie Sanders. I guess Lee would qualify as a replacement.

You know, I’ve thinking that if and when “Any Twosome” Newsom picks someone, s/he’ll be LGBT. One of his cronies of that ilk from San Francisco in all probability (e.g., State Sen. Mark Leno). He’s going to need all that rich queer money for his own future presidential bid.
In addition to her communist politics, Lee is racist, vile, mean and very angry - a perfect replacement for Harris.
Face it. If it comes down to appointing a senator for CA, then it would be best to have the most radical, left-wing off the wall senator possible. Trump won millions of former Democrat votes this election because of radicals in the Rat Party. The further left they go, the more people they chase out. Personally, I would love to see AOC as Speaker of the House, but it appears Nancy will be. Nancy is easy enough to vilify. Most of her party barely tolerates her. AOC would be even better. It is all about contrast.
