The New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been a close friend of President Donald Trump for many years. He has even visited him at the White House multiple times over the past four years.
That’s why it had to have come as a shock to Trump that Belichick snubbed him by turning down the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Why shocked?
Annika Sorenstam and Gary Player, were both attacked in the media. Player's own son raged against him for accepting the Medal Of Freedom from Trump last week.
I don't blame Bill Belichick for not wanting to deal with it.
