Madonna has a reported fortune of $850 million but she still feels that she is a victim. In a recent Instagram post, she took aim at the patriarchy that she claims is suppressing her.
She is no stranger to controversy. Madonna has a history of doing and saying anything for publicity, but this recent comment stands out as hypocritical for someone with her experience and history.

Yeah. Old geezer rock’n’rollers can get away with just standing on stage, playing instruments, and singing. Old singers whose whole appeal was selling sex don’t do so well when they hit 60+ and the looks fade.
The Patriarchy? You’ve been victimized? No, Madonna.
That is simply not at all believable.
If anything, you are a ‘victim’ of your own ambition and success.
You have obtained all the material things anyone could want. We can’t help it if that now bores you.
Most of life is boring and routine.

She didn’t write doodlie-squat. If anything got written, it was by some toady with nothing better to do.

SIGH. It’s all the rage to blame the “machine” for one’s dissatisfaction in life. She’s no better than those multi-millionaire ball players who claim they’re slaves. People like them should be stripped of their wealth and deported to Sierra Leone.

Madonna is still around? Who knew? Guess she’s bored with the millions the oppressive patriarchy helped her to amass. There are too many other “victims” in the media to compete against right now - like those in Congress who feared for their lives in early January. She’d get more media attention starting her own “Last Final, This is Absolutely My Last Tour” tour - the Stones did this at least 10 times.
I've hated that slut since she first came on scene. She was the worst influence on our daughters, including mine.

Yep. The smarter pop singers transition to some other genre before they hit that wall (especially the women, since their expiration date is “harder” than for men). For example, Tenille from “Captain & Tenille” was only a pop star for a few years but she went on to have a long career as a jazz vocalist because she wasn’t too proud to switch gears.
Madonna’s not a bad singer. She could have done something like that, started making more “adult” music and had a whole other career trajectory, but I don’t think her pride would allow it.
A victim? No one forced her to show her crotch everywhere back in the 90s. And for $850M I would be willing to be a victim too!
