If you don’t want an incompetent President, good: then don’t install one. Use the tools of the Constitution – such as the judiciary system and the electoral college, and the final Vice Presidential review of the delegate count – to keep an incompetent fool out of the office. That's what checks and balances are for.But don’t implement a regulation that would render the greatest nation in the world defenseless in the face of nuclear attack. That’s not just foolishness, it’s treason.
Nobody cares, because...
So, if we are attacked, we are toast, burnt toast and there will be no mutual destruction, which is the deterant. Just in time for Iran to aquire nuc weaps. Brilliant.
Our congress is non compos mentis. Talk about Biden not being there, congress may as well be on the dark side of the moon.
Well, I have always presumed that an order to launch strategic nuclear weapons from the territory of the United States without evidence of an attack in progress or an imminent attack would not be obeyed.
Thanks, john.
Happy you could contribute again.
Right on.
It is so important one man should never be given that much power.
As a matter of fact, no small group should.
What we should have is a national vote where everyone who might even get fallout gets to vote.
Of course polls are not open 24/365 so we would have to schedule the vote....maybe every two years?
Screw ‘em! Let’s launch them now and remove the question from consideration.
The constitution is clear. The President is CnC. It is solely his authority. If the Dems believe he is unfit, kick him out using the 25h amendment.
