In the last 12 months, I’m fairly certain that most of us have questioned our own sanity a time or two as we try to understand how to navigate the ever-changing regulations and guidance being disseminated not just by Dr. Fauci and the Center for Disease Control, but also from state and local government officials and our well-meaning family and friends. In my opinion, there are many more questions that need to be answered about the nature of COVID-19 and its impact on our future health before we will feel comfortable to live our lives without anxiety and foreboding. However, when our daily thoughts are consumed with worry and doubts about our personal safety, it is very hard to imagine a less stressful and happier life in the future.

I’ve questioned the sanity of some of my fellow citizens, but not my own; and I doubt that many here have questioned theirs, either.

That's my main issue. Yes, it is a fair bet I have drunk more in the last year than in the previous 3 combined. I've also gotten more strenuous physical activity, both strength-based and cardio. I have ignored stay at home "orders" (turned out to be more like suggestions no-one was interested in enforcing) and camped and hiked and walked my dog around the neighborhood. (Q. if you're carrying concealed and have a Pit Bull / Husky mix does that count as "patrolling" your neighborhood?) I've participated in group activities with no concern and no consequence. I've "social distanced" by riding my Harley solo.

Questioned my sanity? No. Questioned the sanity of many other fools? Every. Single. Day.
