Vanity: In Honor of the Upcoming Riots a Hit From My Youth
YouTube ^ | April 7, 2017 | Paper Lace

I remember this song from 1974. Seems quite appropriate for what is going to happen. Just replace Chicago with any Democratic run city.

Bonus points for guessing the song before clicking the link? The Night Chicago Died?

I thought it might be “Panic In Detroit” by Dave Bowie.

Paperlace "The Night Chicago Died" is the correct answer.

Some trivia, Paperlace had a big hit overseas with "Billy, Don't Be A Hero", which became a #1 hit for Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods over here.

Paperlace hit #1 in USA with "Night Chicago Died" which was some consolation. But they did catch a lot of grief over the "inaccuracy" of the lyrics.

The lyrics are interesting. The East Side of Chicago, where the song takes place, was an industrial community with working-class residential neighborhoods. Although there was some labor violence there in the bad old days, it doesn't seem to have been much of a hangout for gangsters.
