Thank you all so very much for all the prayers. I’m so very touched, your prayers give me comfort and strength.
I went to the ER today for severe camps that started Wednesday. The chest X-ray showed a mass about 1.5 inches in diameter. The doc looked really worried, said based on the shape he was 90% sure it was cancer. After a CT the doc looked a bit relieved, said it could be a necrotic infection, whatever that is. Sounds like something out of a zombie movie. LOL!
The cramps were caused by severe inflammation of the stomach and esophagus (most likely caused by extended use of ibuprofen). Finding the mass on my lung was a complete surprise.
The oncologist is going to call me first thing Monday to schedule a biopsy. Find out what this thing is and what can be done about it.
Again, THANK YOU all so much for the prayers and well wishes. I like to think of myself as a tough guy but every time I read the thread my eyes start leaking.
Been a long day so I’m going to get some sleep.

Everything is scheduled.! I’m feeling really good. It kinda weirds me out knowing I have a golf ball in my chest, I don’t feel a thing. Strange. I wonder if I can keep it. After all, I grew it. :-)

Hi Folks! Sorry for the late notice but I have been under the weather for 10 days. I feel better today than I have in a couple weeks.
The biopsy results were inconclusive. He didn’t say it was cancer but he refused to rule it out. He said they did find bacteria but didn’t say what kind. He put me on a 21-day course of antibiotics:
Amoxicillin-Pot Clavul 875-125 tab twice a day
On June 1 they will run another CT scan too see if it shrinks.
