The high school of the knife-wielding teen shot by police while attacking another woman quietly added her to their honor roll after her mother had claimed she was an “honor roll student”.
Independence High School in Columbus, Ohio updated the honor roll list on its website to show that Ma’Khia Bryant had recently earned honor roll status for the past nine-week quarter.
But the update only happened after inquiries from The College Fix.
“Yes, she was an honor roll student and has been described by her educators as a very driven and engaged student who wanted to grow and be a productive member of her community,” district spokesperson Jacqueline Bryant, unrelated to Ma’Khia, told The College Fix on Friday, April 23.
When asked why the honor roll list on the website did not list her, Bryant said “it wouldn’t be listed on the school website as it was a recent honor.” Bryant would not turn over the list and asked The Fix to file a public record request instead.

Strangely most of the good butchers I know of are men.
But anything is possible I guess
Incidently when I was much younger there was a butcher in the center of town, and there was a giant 2000+ sq ft freezer attached. inside it was full of hundreds of wooden lockers that you could rent. you would buy a cow or a pig or whatever he would cut it up and you would stick it in your locker.
I wonder is there anything like that anymore ?
Interesting - and I thought she was an aspiring rapper.
Maybe even a lower bar, just attending periodically might be sufficient effort to get on their honor roll.
She should have bragged her daughter had just won the PowerBall.
As if the academic record of a knife-wielding want-to-be murderess has any relevance.
I have to call BS on this.
