Maybe he went by NICS checks, rather than industry feedback. Any idea what percentage of guns sold are used?

I bought all mine for $11.99 per box and $80 for 500 at the beginning of Covid. However, the problem is I rarely go to the range anymore to shoot hundreds of rounds like I used to——However, I do practice with Itarget pro as it does help with muscle memory and sighting in a target.

The prices are insane.

During Obama’s ammo shortage I began buying Military ammo......sealed stored and some even have the primers seal coated.

Then I started buying civilian ammo. Finally stopped in 2019.

Never expected it to get this bad.

Finally I did something right!!

I haven’t even checked. Is there a heavy demand on bolt action rifle ammo?

I can’t even buy 9mm Brass and when I do find some it’s about .26 cents each.

I guarantee you here will not be a great ammo glut in 2022. I know this because once prices return to normal I will be buying literally tens of thousands of rounds.

After the Obama shortage I decided to keep a stockpile of at least 10,000 rounds. Almost a year and a half of not buying ammo because I refuse to pay 3X as much as normal means I am running out in several calibers. OK. Lesson learned. Next time the stockpile will be at least 30,000 rounds. That way I can last years without buying ammo the next time we have a massive ammo shortage.

Who knew that ammo would also be an investment that would appreciate in value.

Yea but most of that is the primer component problem and secondarily on a priority basis, ammo makers scale back those calibers after hunting season.

I’m glad I stocked up when Obama was headed for the WH.

—while only part of the pricing, copper at over $4.00/lb is in the picture, price -wise—

It got so expensive that shooters stopped going to the range. Which eased the demand a little, and there has been some improvement.

If warm weather brings back the BLM/Antifa Follies, shortages will resume. .

I hit several gun shows and bought by the case. All stored in military ammo boxes with desiccant.

At the store I work, the ammo shelves are bare, even of the obscure rounds.

If LuckyGunner.com is any weather vane, ammo is more available and prices are coming down. 9mm is down to 72 cents a round from 92.

That's true for other internet retailers, also - prices are definitely coming down. The Remington ammo production facility in Arkansas is apparently back in production (under new ownership), which will definitely help...

Yeah, I had convinced myself to stick with just a few calibers of ammo for ease of inventory. Darned if a 5.56mm did not come along and confuse things.

I spent way too much during the Obama years, but the upside is now I can comfortably watch from the sidelines.

And even though I have enough ammo to shoot, I choose to preserve it and shoot the bow and arrow. Hopefully there isn’t a run on arrows. You never know lately.

The toss of a coin would be more likely to produce an accurate answer than the idiots at the linked website.
