I suspect you are right.

I think it is an empty threat because it is not possible to hold any political office in NY without being corrupt.

So Trump would sue them for harassment, civil rights violation, etc. and take depositions regarding their life in office.

I doubt that they want that.

I doubt they care. I don’t even know if you can sue them for harassment. So far no one has.
