John Carlin is a dirty, deep-state tool. No doubt he would be involved to spread a dirty deep state political narrative.
He was Deputy AG at the DOJ for the National Security Division in 2016. He’s very close to Robert Mueller. FISA warrants pass by his desk.
As we know, the Obama regime permitted many FBI “contractors” to illegally access the NSA database to gather info on Trump since at least 2015 (probably much longer, and probably against other political opponents also).
Admiral Mike Rogers learned of this, and began a review of illegal “Sec. 702” activity in spring 2016. As head of the National Security Divison of DOJ, Carlin almost certainly new this NSA investigation was occurring.
Nonetheless, in late September 2016, Carlin “certified” to the FISA court that DOJ/Fed.gov was in-compliance and everything was above-board on its access of the vast NSA database. He then resigned his position THE NEXT DAY. 4 days after Carlin left the DOJ, Rogers released his results, showed that the FBI was abusing the NSA database.
Carlin most certainly knew all about it, but covered his ass by leaving the DOJ just before the abuses were announced, so he could claim ignorance of it all.
