A Christian alternative to the Boy Scouts, Trail Life USA, is filling in the gap since membership in the Boy Scouts took a huge dive after moving to a more woke focus.
Boy Scouts of America lost two million members in the past eight years.
Trail Life USA started after the Boy Scouts decision to lift its ban on gay scout leaders. The Christian-based alternative group seeks to “guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.”

I hate mission statements as a practice. I make a huge exception for the Trail Life USA mission as you quoted.
Who would have thunk that normal people would have pulled their kids out of the boy scouts confronted with the woke nonsense. I hope they also pull their kids out of any school that keeps pushing the critical race theory crap.
Funding for schools is based on backsides in seats soooo less backsides, less funding.

I recall how the Boy Scouts were sued over banning homosexual scout leaders. They won their case at the Supreme court. But for whatever reason, they decided they would allow open homosexual leaders. And nowadays they aren’t actually the Boy Scouts anymore since they admit females.
I never miss an opportunity to inform Boy Scout and Girl Scout fundraisers that I stopped supporting their organization due to their LGBTQXYZ and abortion policies.
I’d think outdoorsy, self-reliant type families would be the primary clients of the Boy Scouts, and those people probably tend toward the conservative spectrum.

There is plenty of evidence for a fear of embracing evil and perversion into one’s life, leading to a happier, longer life.

Scouting HQ had become dependent upon corporate funding, and woke corporations had demanded they end their gay bans.
The left got what it wanted.
Boy Scout membership deserves to crater, not only for its record of pedophilia, but its caving to wokeness, and overall lessening focus on basic values of its founder. One example would be the idea that, in the pledge, the phrase “mentally awake and morally straight” might be dumped over concern that it might offend some snowflakes.
I had a scout with purple hair ask for a donation to his/her (I couldn’t tell which) Eagle Scout project. I said thank you but no thanks. I didn’t want my name associated with the group anymore.
